misunderstanding

You each own your own reflection and have the words to respond to it wherever you see it, this is undeniable. You do no raging or loving without seeing in another what is in yourself. If you hold in your hand a clod of dirt and say it is gold, who is to deny the validity of what you see, if buried in the dirt lay a nugget of 24 carat purity? And who is wrong to see within the wrappings of glamour a heart of base matter if that is what his eyes relay to his mind? There is truth in words beyond the words themselves, and in any response to life’s multifaceted appearance are myriad of possible alternatives and layers of meaning to be discovered. Transmutation of base into purity, the alchemy of ignorance into awareness, is an unending path of becoming for a human being. There is no right or wrong place along this continuum; you are where you are and every other being likewise is where they are. It is in the perception of the relationship that movement forward, upward, inward, truthward is found. It is honoring the expression of perception that reflections become realities, and separate expressions of selfhood find the way back to integration into Self.
